I wanted to do this for a while, and finally April 9, 2011 was the perfect chance – take photos of letters in alphabet order. I must say in advance, I cheated a bit – I just couldn’t skip perfect “Z” and took duplicate versions of some letters: “B”, “L”, “O” just to name a few.
I went around Vancouver for around 2 hours, with Armin Van Buuren’s State of trance on my iPhone, shooting signs, billboards, advertising etc.
Nothing spectacular here, but I hope to get some comments. Thanks!
Ok, maybe this photos have been published in some of my previous postings, but I’ve decided to group some of the old and some of the new shots into one Set on Flickr called – Vancouver.
In this set I will add photos from various shoots as well as random images of my city Vancouver, BC.
Feel free to explore, comment and contact me if you want to use them commercially.
I usually put videos into my Blog, but this one is different.
My brother Kirill sent me link to HDR video by Soviet Montage which looked pretty cool. They’ve used two Canon’s 5D MII to take those shots.
Since I don’t have even 1 of those cameras, shooting with Nikon D90 and quite happy with it, I’ve decided to try time-lapse videos using Image Capture to shoot image every couple of seconds (once it got dark, exposure was set to about 20-30 seconds so every 30 seconds). Here is result.
Quite excited about trip to Italy next week where outside of Palace Hotel at Anacapri I can shoot 24hrs time lapse of sunrise, sunset and everything in between.
Alpro Aluminum asked me to shoot their projects which include over 20 different buildings around Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby and Surrey area of Greater Vancouver.
Here is the first shot of Athletes Village. There are HDR, Panoramic and regular shots.
2010 Vancouver Olympics are long gone and there are thousands of photos left in folders, SD cards and Aperture Libraries. One-by-one, slowly but surely, I am going through those images at my spare time and will place them on my Flickr page and here.
Below is False Creek at night, with the view of Vancouver Athletes Village, Sochi 2014 House, BC Place Stadium QTVR.
Here are some night shots that I love to take. These are taking an different times and in various locations but all are Vancouver, BC. This section will constantly be updated, so enjoy.
Here is my second QTVR attempt, this time it is Cypress mountain viewpoint. Weather in the city was not perfect for photography, so we went to Cypress mountain – 2010 Olympic competition venue.
This time, I’ve stitched 25 images and trimmed edges. Enjoy and comment
Edit: I had to hide QTVR to speed up load of the Portfolio section. Click on more to view.
I had very lucky opportunity to spend vacation in Italy this Year with someone special. Me and my girlfriend went for 10 days vacation which started in Portugal, then Anacapri, Rome and Florence. Along the way we made stops at Sorrento, Pompeii and visited Vatican and Colosseum. As one can imagine, there was a lot [...]

When Coreena, co-owner of Loeka – women’s mountain biking clothing manufacturer asked me if I will be interested in doing a shoot for their 2009 catalog, how could I say ‘No’? I mean in addition to being good friends with Coreena, passion to photography and opportunity for more practice – it’s girls clothing we are [...]
I’ve dedicated separate post for this QTVR (QuickTime Virtual Reality) of Palladium Riviera Resort and Spa I’ve recently visited. I have dozens of photos to share from this trip, both personal and to be included on my Flickr and here pages, which I will upload in the next couple of days. It was challenging creating [...]
This is one of the Flickr sets that has nothing to do with certain events, but gets updated on regular basis. This Set in particular, includes different shots of the food, dishes, ingredients – everything that directly or remotely has something to do with food. Cakes, dishes, close-ups of fruits and vegetables. As a thumbnail, [...]
